Welcome to Stowe Mountain…please keep your hands and feet inside the ride until your heart stops racing! Home of the legendary “Front Four” Stowe will challenge and exhilarate event the most seasoned veteran. When there is a sign that says “Experts Only” you had better be or you’ll be looking back up the trail thinking, “What did I do?” Another feature of Stowe is it’s endless Glades. Lots and lots of trees! But for those of you who just want to cruise and enjoy the fresh mountain air you will not be disappointed. Some trails are 3 miles plus and allow you to link turns and feel that carve. Novice skiers and riders of course can also enjoy their time at Stowe, with plenty of gentle slopes to send you on your way. One of the beautiful things at Stowe is the scenery, which one will not be able to get enough of on the 2 big mountains. Mt Mansfield (VT’s highest peak) and Spruce Peak, average 300” of snow a year making conditions outstanding. Stowe is one of the most traditionally photographed areas in Vermont and the Northeast. It’s classic village with over 90 shops & 50 restaurants, Stowe typifies Vermont. For apres-ski your best bet will be the Matterhorn. Live music and a lively atmosphere make the Matterhorn the place to swap stories of your day (all ages are welcome). For dinner there is really no place to go that will steer you wrong. But two standouts are Piecasso Pizzeria & Lounge & Mr. Pickwicks. Piecasso is a casual place with great food and atmosphere. Mr. Pickwicks has an outstanding beer assortment that we at Banchi dream about. After dinner three hotspot places to enjoy the evening. You can head back to the Matterhorn, which has the live entertainment & dancing. You can also find music, dancing and pool at the Rusty Nail.
