Fashioned after European resort this Mountain resort is a self-contained vacation. The unparalleled village sits at the base of the mountain and all the properties are within waling distance to the lifts. If you’re tired and want to go from one end of the village to the other but, don’t feel like walking. Take the open-air gondola (cabriolet) across to get where you’re going. On the South side of the mountain some trails to ski or ride while enjoying the beautiful scenery Kanadhar, Toboggan and Bon Vieux Temps. On of the “Parc Gravite” or terrain parks are on this side as well, although this one is a mini. Novice skiers and riders will do better on the south side with more novice terrain. On the North side hang on to your hats but make sure you bring your Smith sunglasses or goggles, because the North side is sun exposed. Geant, Buzz, Saute Moutons all rip and Windigo is a great trail to get some tree skiing for intermediates. Emotion and reaction are 2 wild trails as well. The 2 big terrain parks and the halfpipe are on the North side as well. In case you hadn’t noticed a lot of the names are French. Well that’s because this is French Canada! Hopefully you’ve brushed up on your 4 years of French. Being that it is French Canada you will be hard pressed not to find good food, good drink and of course good fun. Just make sure you bring something to ID yourself with, like a photo license because that’s how you need to get in and out of the country.
